Hi! I’m Ben and I’m a Cognitive Behaviour Therapist and Counsellor.
What is my background and experience?
I have worked with people overcoming mental health problems since 2007. This has included anxiety, depression and trauma and learning disabilities.
What is a Counsellor and CBT therapist?
A Counsellor and CBT therapist is professionally trained and equipped to listen and attend to problems you may be struggling to overcome. This is catered to support each person needs and wants individually as everyone is different, be it personal or situational.
What will it be like when I meet you?
I will make sure you are made to feel welcome and feel there can be a relationship between us. This is the most important thing for me.
I may have qualifications to be a counsellor and therapist, but you being comfortable is much more important. My first aim is to provide a non-judgemental space for you to speak openly and honestly with me
What type of therapies you use and what kind of difficulties do you help people overcome?
I am a trained CBT therapist meaning we work on situational, behavioural, and personal problems. I listen compassionately and work to tackle depression, anxiety, low self esteem, stress, relationship difficulties, trauma and adjustment to personal real-life problems.
What are your interests outside of therapy?
I am a massive football fan. I play football for a local team and I am a huge Liverpool fan.
