Penny Worby

Assistant Psychologist

Hi, I am Penny and I am an Assistant Psychologist at the Oak Tree Practice.

I recently graduated from Queen Mary, University of London with an undergraduate degree in Psychology, so I am at the beginning of my journey to become a Clinical Psychologist. I have previous experience working with children and young people, and outside of this role, I work part-time as an Assistant Psychologist in an NHS addiction service for adults.

What interests you about working in Psychology?

Psychology has always interested me. I knew from a very young age that I wanted to help people, and it is a job that I find incredibly rewarding. One of the best things about working in this field is that you meet and work with individuals from all walks of life which in turn, allows you to constantly learn and develop as an individual.

What interests you outside of Psychology?

Outside of work I spend a lot of time with friends and family, which is my favourite way to unwind. However, I am not opposed to a lazy weekend at home watching films or a good TV series.
